Testing Services

This is a brief look at some of the services we offer at Earthco Ltd. Please don't hesitate to contact us for further information, or to discuss your requirements.

Gloves and Sleeves

On receipt at the laboratory, gloves and sleeves are documented and then washed and dried in our industrial machines (New equipment, for acceptance testing is not washed). They are then visually inspected by our technicians, using inflation equipment. The next stage is electrical testing, at the correct voltage for their class, which is carried out using Hanco test equipment; finally they are inflated and visually inspected again, then stamped and packed for return to the customer.

Documentation accompanies the gloves and sleeves through all stages of testing and any failures are recorded and then destroyed. If the customer wishes, failures can be replaced with new items from our stocks.

Cover – up kit

Cover-up kit (Line hose, blankets, by-pass jumpers, pot covers, fuse covers etc) are all tested at the laboratory. All items are documented and cleaned before testing; we have large, purpose built sinks for washing and scrubbing the filthiest rubber equipment. All items are carefully visually inspected, electrically tested using Hanco test equipment, visually inspected again before stamping ready for re-issue to the customer. Documentation follows the equipment through all stages and replacement items are available for any failures. In addition to the test stamps individual I.D numbers and test certificates can be issued.

Sticks

At Earthco we can test a huge variety of sticks, rods and hydraulic hoses, using our Hanco portable test apparatus. From the smallest parking bar to ten meter hydraulic hoses and everything in between! All items are issued with an individual i.d. number, cleaned and visually inspected before electrical test, they are then visually inspected again, labels are applied recording the test date and test voltage – again documentation accompanies them at all times.

Sticks etc can either be sent to us for testing, or our technicians can come to your premises anywhere in the UK.

Vehicles/Aerial devices

Dielectric testing of Booms and Basket liners on Aerial Devices can be carried out at Earthco, or more commonly on site at your premises. Testing requires a high degree of skill and expertise and is only carried out by our most experienced, trained engineers using specialist equipment from Phoenix and Hubble hypertronix. Certificates are issued showing test dates voltages and leakage recorded.
